Who I Am

About Me: Lisa Wiens, AMFT

Empowering Individuals to Tap into Their True Potential

Hello! I'm Lisa, and (I think writing about myself for you to understand who i am is weird haha) BUT I do believe healing begins when we feel safe enough to show up as we really are—messy parts and all. In our work together, I bring my full, authentic self into the room because I know that real connection is what makes real change possible. Whether you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or just ready for something different, I offer a grounded space where you can be honest, explore what’s beneath the surface, and start moving toward the life you were meant to live—with clarity, courage, and grace.

My background in special education taught me how to tune in—how to see the whole person, not just the struggle. Over the years, that work naturally grew into supporting adults, including veterans navigating the weight of trauma, anxiety, and deep inner battles. I don’t believe in staying stuck. I’m here to help people move forward—with clarity, compassion, and practical tools that actually make a difference. Whether it’s a child learning to trust themselves or an adult learning to breathe again, my focus is always the same: create a space that’s steady, honest, and rooted in grace—where healing isn’t just talked about, it’s lived.

Outside of a therapy session, you’ll find me in the trees or at the beach. I love immersing myself into nature and finding new hikes to explore. Nature helps ground me and allows me to get out of my head. I recently got a new kitten ((I’ve always been a dog person)), Linus, that you may see from time to time on the screen if we’re on a telehealth session (he likes to think that he is secretly saving the world).
